Cookie Policy

These are required for the Services to function and cannot be switched off. They include authentication and session cookies that keep you signed in to your Kiddo account, security cookies that help prevent cross-site request forgery, and cookies used for bot and abuse protection on our forms. Without these, the Services will not work.

These remember choices you make so we can provide a more consistent experience — for example, remembering your center selection, saved waitlist filters, and interface preferences.

We use PostHog to understand how people use the Services: which pages and features are visited, how long tasks take, where users encounter difficulty, and which parts of our enrollment and waitlist workflows cause drop-off. This includes:

• Product and web analytics – page views, section views, feature usage, call-to-action clicks, and workflow completion events.

• Session replay – PostHog records interactions with the Services, including clicks, navigation, and scrolling, so we can diagnose usability problems and reproduce reported bugs.

• Heatmaps and click tracking – aggregate views of where users click and scroll.

• Web performance metrics – page load and responsiveness measurements.

On our marketing site, PostHog creates a stored profile only for users who identify themselves, such as by signing in.

We use Sentry and PostHog exception tracking to capture technical error information when something goes wrong, so we can identify and fix defects. This may include the page you were on, your browser and device type, and the technical details of the error.

Sentry also captures a short replay of the session when an error occurs, to help us reproduce the problem. Sentry does not record sessions in which no error occurs. If you choose to submit a report through our "Report an issue" widget, it may include a screenshot of the page you are on — that screenshot is captured only when you actively submit a report.

When you make a payment, Stripe sets cookies necessary to process the transaction and to detect and prevent fraud. Stripe’s use of cookies is governed by Stripe’s own privacy policy.

We advertise Kiddo to childcare centers, and we use advertising technologies to measure whether those ads work and to reach people who have shown interest. These set cookies and similar identifiers, and they share information about your visit with the advertising platform. We use:

• Google — Google Ads conversion tracking, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager as the container that loads them.

• Meta — the Meta Pixel, for conversion measurement and advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

• LinkedIn — the LinkedIn Insight Tag, for conversion measurement and advertising on LinkedIn.

• TikTok — the TikTok Pixel, for conversion measurement and advertising on TikTok.

Under some state privacy laws, using these technologies is treated as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You have the right to opt out, and you can do so at any time — see How to control cookies below, or go straight to Your privacy choices.

Two limits on this that matter. First, these technologies run on our marketing website only. We do not run advertising or conversion tags inside the Kiddo application, where Centers and families work with children's information. Second, we never use information about children or families that a Center submits through the Services for advertising, and we never share it with advertising platforms — regardless of any cookie setting.
